The petals represent ideas, growth and how our universities help inform our community through individual learning. Each petal is made up of many different pieces of tile much like the public when they check out materials in the library. Each unique and changing.
Many times my work resides in my home prior to finding a home in a public space. Here are three petals in the kitchen waiting to find the other 5 petals for a larger installation.
These petals are getting ready to be packed for the road trip to Grand Junction to be installed at Colorado Mesa University.
