This sculpture has been a fun way to explore many different glass tesserae. Included on the recycled satellite dish forms are hand-cut stained glass squares and shapes, slumped glass half domes, Mexican smalti, and marbles. The edges have bird mitigation wires with delicate beads threaded on them to complement the glass work. It’s up to the viewer to decide which side of the moon is the dark side and which side it the side we see in the night.
