Calypso was a nymph in Greek mythology, that lived on the island of Ogygia, where, according to the Odyssey, she detained Odysseus for seven years. As you look deep into the patterns of colorful glass you too will lose yourself in the colorful patterns just as Odysseus. Or become equally entranced in the design as I did as child by twirling around on the Calypso carnival ride at Elitch Gardens in Denver. The experience of childhood is experienced once again in the artwork ‘Calypso’, enjoy!
